The Cincinnati Recreation Commission has posted their cooling center hours for Summer 2025:

As part of their commitment to provide discovery without barriers, CHPL partners with UMC Food Ministry to bring meals and snacks to select Library locations.
Check the Free Meals page at CHPL for the most up to date information
Free meals and snacks are available Mondays through Fridays during the summer. Participants must eat at the Library.
Select branches have food or snacks available on Saturday(*).
Meal service locations and serving times are subject to change.
All children ages 1 through 18 are eligible to receive free meals. Individuals ages 19 through 21 who have been identified as having mental or physical disabilities and are following Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) through their current enrollment in educational programs also are eligible for free meals. There are no other eligibility requirements.
According to Feeding America, over 42,000 children in Hamilton County live in a food insecure household. That means one in six children are unsure of where their next meal is coming from. Children facing hunger are more likely to struggle with school and exhibit behavioral problems.
The UMC meal service is made possible through federal funding, as part of the USDA’s Child Nutrition Programs.
According to the USDA, half of every meal you eat should be made up of fruits and vegetables. However, many families have a difficult time easily accessing fresh fruits and vegetables.
Freestore Foodbank is working to change this. Produce Pop Ups in partnership with Anthem® bring a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, along with the option to add other items such as bread, to communities in need.

Produce Pop-Ups are scheduled throughout the month of February at the following locations:
