Who We Are

We come from many faith traditions and communities, united in our Christian mission to feed those in need in our community.

We strive to live by the words and example of Jesus by reaching out to the economically disadvantaged in our community in a loving and life-giving manner, and creating a welcoming and inviting atmosphere.

We are mostly volunteers serving in many different capacities and organized by Joan Callahan, Food Pantry Director, and the St. George Food Pantry Board.

We come from all walks of life, from students to senior citizens, from singles to families, and welcome all desiring to be of service.

We were formed in 1981 as an outreach of St. George Parish Newman Center, and we continue to be a vital ministry of the Uptown Catholic region of parishes (St. Monica-St. George Parish Newman Center, Annunciation Church and Holy Name Church).

We also receive regular support from many schools, churches, universities, and organizations; as well as many others. Thank You.

We are a member agency of the Freestore Foodbank. We are linked to the broader community of social service agencies in the Greater Cincinnati area, and make referrals to those agencies as needed.
